Heps Otris is a refreshing take on the modern masturbator, and it’s the only one of its kind. This one is customizable in terms of both texture, length and suction unlike anything I have seen before.

It’s not that often I come across masturbators with TPR inserts, most companies use some kind of elastomer blend like SuperSkin. But surprisingly it seems to work very well. Otris comes dusted with some kind of renewal powder and feels absolutely fantastic to touch. The inserts are very squishy and velvety on the surface. TPR is a nice material – for external use – that is almost non porous and it’s of course body safe. One thing to note is that the manual claims it’s silicone, which is not accurate. Probably something lost in translation. Heps Otris came all the way from Korea, after all.
The most unusual thing about Heps Otris however is not the material, rather the construction. It consist of 6 modules that attach in whichever combination feels right. It can also be used to alter the length of the toy. New modules are available separately for those well endowed or experimental. Each of these modules has a removable TPR ring with a distinct texture on the inside. The rings are a bit rough around the edges, with some surface tears here and there. It does not seem to affect the use of the toy, but may degrade further over time.
I must say that this design works rather well. Once every ring is in place, they stack to make the ultimate masturbator. The orifice is rather large measuring in at 1 inch (2.5cm). With the standard package you get an insertable length of 5.5 inches (14cm) if all the modules are in use. Each one adds just over an inch.
While it’s not a tight entry, the diameter of 2.75 inches (7cm) still feels firm enough for my taste. Once lubricated, it’s easy to slip inside and get going. It feels comfortably familiar as with other masturbators. Although the different textures aren’t at all as pronounced as I would have thought. It’s really hard to tell each module apart at the entire length feels like gentle massaging nubs focusing on the length of the shaft rather than the glans. While it’s by no means as intense as many of the Fleshlight variations, I would say it feels like a medium. A step up from traditional Ona Caps but not quite on the same level as the big players.
I find using the most solid ones (to the far left and right in the photo above) in each end and the one with teeth and flaps in the middle feels fantastic. A tight entry followed by a teasing massage ending in a blissfully tight cushion. The end cap houses a TPR disk with what looks like a blackberry on top. This one makes it more comfortable to reach the end, but it does not stimulate much.
While not the most intense texture wise, it has incredible suction powers. That little raised disc in the picture above is the air release piston in the end cap. When pushing into the toy it opens to let out air and when pulling out it closes to create a strong vacuum. I am no fan of huge suction myself as I feel it takes too much away from the texture. Luckily the piston are able to pull out slightly on one side to stay in the open position or removed completely. Either way, this feels better and it enables smoother strokes as well.
Alternative uses are without the end cap in place and using a couple of rings on its own. This way, the textures really pop and especially the flapped ring feels interesting.
Cleaning the Otris is as easy as to unscrew the modules and pop them in the sink. Turning the removable inserts inside out enables effortless deep cleaning. Soap, water and toy cleaner is a good idea. After the first rinse they do become quite sticky and require powdering to reclaim that new silky smooth feeling.
Heps Otris has a great grip, very cushioned feeling inserts and a simple suction control to suit every mood. I enjoy using it, and it truly is a refreshing take on the male masturbator. The case is strong and the packaging is exceptionally nice and simple. Sealed in both ends to prevent tampering as well. While I love the design, the different textures could maybe use a bit more differentiation. It’s rather gentle. But by all means it feels great along the shaft and it produces some satisfying orgasms in the end.
While it may not reach the top of my list, Otris is definitely worthy a look. I do hope this concept evolves and expect to see new and interesting textures in the future. The Otris cost just under $60 and each additional module cost $20.
